Ph.D. in social sciences. Geographer and sociologist specialising in energy, housing, and regional development. With a decade of experience in private, public, and NGO sectors, Jan coordinated and carried out several dozen scientific and applied projects for international and Polish research institutions, ministries, and regional and local governments. At IBS, he mainly investigates energy transition opportunities and risks for households, cities and regions. He obtained a PhD at the Polish Academy of Sciences and finished the Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies at the University of Warsaw.
