The project “Fostering ambitious and effective NECPs in Central and Eastern Europe” aims to impact energy and climate policies in Bulgaria, Croatia, Poland, and Romania. IBS’s role is crucial in embedding social preferences into policy frameworks, while the project focuses on creating a robust regional framework for NECPs. This framework aims to enhance the effectiveness of NECPs through comparative assessments and foster a multi-stakeholder dialogue involving policymakers, civil society, and businesses. The project aims to drive a strategic shift towards sustainable energy systems, ensuring energy security and social justice and reducing dependency on non-renewable energy sources, thereby aligning Central and Eastern European countries with EU energy and climate goals.
