When Law and Justice (PiS) seized power, a new draft budget was prepared, yet in many respects it was similar to the draft made by the previous coalition government.
Fleeting foreign financing
The growth dynamics of foreign debt and the share of foreign investors in sovereign Polish debt has been unusually high in recent years. According to Eurostat data, at the end of 2014 Poland was ranked 11th in the EU in terms of the share of non-residents’ holdings of government debt.
