The main aim of the project was to prepare an all-round report on Polish labour market – “Employment in Poland 2006 – productivity for jobs” – in cooperation with the Department of Economic Analyses and Forecasts of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy. The publication consists of a rigorous analysis on capability of the Polish labour market to absorb macroeconomic shocks, regional diversity of the labour market, internal and external migration as well as the scope and consequences of the twilight zone importance. The publication constitutes a continuation of a study “Employment in Poland 2005”, published by the Ministry of Economy and Labour in October 2005. Works over the 2007 edition, finalized in April 2007, were financed by EFS.
