A two-day event organised by CINEA took place on 19–20 May 2026 in Brussels, bringing together several dozen participants, including five representatives of the LOCATEE partners. From the LOCATEE side, there were: Ewa Lenczowska (Miasto Rumia), Zuzana Matusova (Habitat for Humanity International), Marco Peretto (IEECP), João Pedro Gouveia (NOVA) and Jan Frankowski (IBS).
The meeting provided a platform for exchanging experiences, identifying opportunities for cooperation, and sharing best practices. The event also fostered dialogue between projects, policymakers, and EU-level initiatives, with the goal of strengthening policy feedback and improving coordination across EU-funded actions. For that purpose, the coordinators of EPAH and the Covenant of Mayors were also present.
During the workshop “Engagement of public authorities to mitigate energy poverty”, moderated by Alice Corrovesi (INZEB), Jan Frankowski presented the LOCATEE project’s experiences. Then, together with representatives of other initiatives: Marina Varvesi (Aisfor, ASSERT), Dimitra Drakaki (Climate Alliance, Energy Poverty Nexus), and Jiří Karásek (SEVEn, CETAC), as well as gathered participants, discussions focused on key challenges related to engaging public authorities, including barriers to cooperation, gaps between policy ambition and implementation, and factors enabling the transition from dialogue to concrete action.

The presence of Ewa Lenczowska, representative of the City of Rumia, provided a dual perspective on these issues.
The event also provided an informal platform for exchanging views on coordination, dissemination, and replication of LIFE projects with advisors and representatives of other initiatives.
