On March 23, there was held a seminar, organized by the OECD together with our Institute, during which Nicola Brandt (OECD) presented OECD Economic Survey 2016 for Poland. Comments to the report were delivered by Piotr Lewandowski (IBS) and Michał Wolański (SGH).
Nicola Brandt focused on several key areas: sustainability of public finances, skills development for the labour market and improvement of infrastructure investment. In the comments to her presentation, Piotr Lewandowski highlighted the role of education, addressing, among others, the need of reducing disparities in education quality between different types of secondary schools. Michał Wolański referred to the growing phenomenon of urban sprawl that exacerbates traffic congestion and air pollution.
