The aim of the project is to examine how excise taxes and other policy measures affect the consumption of different nicotine products. We are part of an international research group led by the Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies (wiiw), which studies the economic and health effects of tobacco and nicotine taxation. Our work focuses on Poland, where we evaluate policy interventions implemented in recent years. The project aims to provide evidence that can inform public debate and support policymaking in the areas of health and taxation.
