Vasyl Namoniuk is an Associate Professor at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. He completed PhD in International Economics. From 2009 to 2011, Vasyl was the Deputy Dean for Science at the National University of the State Tax Service of Ukraine. He was involved in commercial and scientific projects on international development and trade, coal phase-out and just transition of Ukraine’s coal regions, and the monetization of innovative products and services. He has been a visiting professor at universities in China, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Turkey and USA. His research focus is on international development, sustainable finance, and financial innovations. Vasyl has authored and co-authored near 60 publications in these fields.

TIPPING+ – Enabling positive tipping points towards clean energy transitions in coal and carbon-intensive regions

The aim of the project is to characterise and explain the decisive events, processes, major systems’ transformations and their effects on the transition of European CCIR toward clean energy; but also, to prevent the rise of undesirable outcomes like the rise of populism and anti-democratic attitudes.
