This two-day event (16-17.10.2024) provided a unique platform for exchanging views and research findings and for face-to-face meetings with European partners involved in the energy transition of the housing sector.
Addressing numerous challenges is essential for decarbonizing the housing sector. These topics were at the forefront of discussions during the ECF Buildings Strategy Days.
During the session, which focused on the perspectives and implications of implementing the ETS2 system, Joanna Mazurkiewicz presented IBS research findings on the social impacts of introducing a carbon tax and solutions to foster greater acceptance of ambitious climate policies. The discussion centred on the effects of new regulations on households and the challenges related to narrative and communication concerning tools for implementing climate policy.
