Iga Magda wzięła udział w corocznej w konferencji Population Association of America, gdzie prezentowane są najnowsze wyniki badań z obszaru demografii, edukacji, rynku pracy i polityki społecznej. Profesor Magda prezentowała wyniki badań realizowanych przez zespół z SGH, UW i Ośrodek Przetwarzania Informacji. Badanie dotyczyło luki placowej absolwentów kierunków STEM.

Podczas corocznych konferencji Population Association of America badacze ze Stanów Zjednoczonych i wielu innych krajów mają szansę zaprezentować wyniki swoich badań i poszerzyć swoją wiedzę o aktualne osiągnięcia innych naukowców. Doroczna konferencja PAA organizowana jest od 1932r. W tym czasie zdiagnozowano wiele istotnych procesów i problemów związanych z migracjami, demografią czy zagadnieniami równości rasy oraz płci.
