On 23–24 September 2026, the Institute for Structural Research (IBS), the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and the Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies (wiiw) will jointly organise the international conference “Tobacco Taxes in Central and Eastern Europe: Successes and Challenges” in Warsaw.

This year's conference in Barcelona took place from August 31 to September 2, 2026, and, as it does every year, brought together leading researchers from Europe.
The European Sociological Association (ESA) conference took place in Warsaw from 25 to 28 August. During a panel organised by the “Energy & Society” Research Network, Aleksandra Prusak from IBS presented the findings of international ENBLOC project.
This meeting brought together technicians from different fields of the Torres Vedras municipality, the local civil parish governments, and researchers.
From 1 to 3 July 2026, Jan Frankowski took part in the European Network of Housing Research (ENHR) conference in Oslo. The ENHR conference is the largest recurring academic event in Europe dedicated to housing research.
