Znaczenie odżywiania i konsekwencje otyłości z punktu widzenia ekonomii były tematem przewodnim Kongresu Międzynarodowego Stowarzyszenia Ekonomii Zdrowia.

W dniach 12-15 lipca w Mediolanie, na Uniwersytecie Boccioni odbył się Światowy Kongres Międzynarodowego Stowarzyszenia Ekonomii Zdrowia. Tematem przewodnim Kongresu było znaczenie odżywiania i konsekwencje otyłości z punktu widzenia ekonomii.   W sesji poświęconej ekonomicznym aspektom starzenia się ludności Maciej Lis (IBS) – jako jedyny prelegent z Polski – zaprezentował wyniki badania weryfikującego hipotezę o znaczeniu struktury wieku dla zagregowanych wydatków na opiekę zdrowotną.
