ENBLOC project results presented at #ENHR2026 in Oslo

July 8 2026
From 1 to 3 July 2026, Jan Frankowski took part in the European Network of Housing Research (ENHR) conference in Oslo. The ENHR conference is the largest recurring academic event in Europe dedicated to housing research.

This year’s edition, entitled “Homeownership, Prosperity, and Inequality in the 21st Century” and hosted by Oslo Metropolitan University, placed a somewhat stronger emphasis on housing inequalities, including the role of different forms of tenure in shaping them.

The conference brought together more than 400 participants across several dozen sessions, including Jan Frankowski, who presented the results of an experiment conducted among residents of housing cooperatives and condominium associations in Poland and Czechia as part of the ENBLOC project and the Residential Environment and People ENHR working group. The feedback received during the conference will help inform revisions to the working paper, which is currently under review. The conference programme also offered participants the opportunity to visit places and institutions reflecting the specific characteristics of Norwegian urban and housing policies, including the headquarters of the Norwegian tenants’ movement and Oslo City Hall, where the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded.
