The three-year international Paths2Include project examines various forms of discrimination in European labour markets and the enhancement of employment opportunities for people at risk of exclusion from the labour market.
Interdependencies between different risk factors contributing to the vulnerability of certain groups of people to labour market exclusion are analysed. Paths2Include also helps to understand how the institutional context affects the labour force participation of people at risk of exclusion. It explores how the national context influences discrimination, i.e. discriminatory attitudes among employers and employment services towards groups at particular risk of labour market exclusion in each country. Thus, broadening knowledge on policies to reduce inequalities between groups doing well in the labour market and those experiencing difficulties in integrating into employment. In this way, Paths2Include fits in with efforts to implement the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
