The Third ENBLOC Project Meeting in Warsaw

February 21 2025
On February 10-11, 2025, the last regular meeting of the ENBLOC project took place.

Representing the Czech Technical University in Prague, Soňa Stará and Wojciech Bełch attended the meeting, while the IBS team was represented by Aleksandra Prusak, Joanna Mazurkiewicz, Jakub Sokołowski, and Jan Frankowski. During the meeting, we discussed the survey results conducted with housing cooperative residents and interviews in both countries. We established a methodology for analyzing qualitative data, operationalizing individual and community attitudes, and determining the scope and division of work on scientific publications and popular science outputs in the project’s final year.

We also plan to continue disseminating the project’s research findings through participation in conferences and other scientific events. The first such activity this year was Jan Frankowski’s participation in the Fourth Annual Energy Geography Conference, held online on January 25, 2025, by the Energy and Environment Specialty Group (EESG) of the American Association of Geographers (AAG). He presented a talk titled “Spatial varieties of common heating practices during the energy crisis: The Polish case”. The conference gathered several dozen participants from around the world interested in energy studies’ spatial aspects.
