LIFE DAYS 2025

June 3 2025
In the second half of May, we shared experiences from LIFE projects in Warsaw, Szczytno, and Brussels.

On May 8 and 13, 2025, the LIFE Info Days were held, organised by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW). The events brought together individuals interested in the LIFE Programme and featured presentations, project result demonstrations, and showcases of newly funded projects coordinated by Polish partners. Among them was the project LOCATEE, introduced by Jan Frankowski, who also shared insights on preparing the proposal during a discussion panel. The panel included coordinators of other LIFE projects: Anna Mazur (The National Energy Conservation Agency S.A. (KAPE), project FEPC), Maciej Cygler (The National Centre for Emissions Management (KOBiZE), project LIFE-ENSPIRE) and Piotr Ziółkowski (New Mobility Association, project LIFeHDV), and was moderated by Karolina Wądołowska from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management. The event attracted several hundred participants representing local and regional governments, public institutions, NGOs, and the academic community across Poland.

On May 15, 2025, Jan Frankowski also participated in the “Housing cooperatives and associations facing energy transition” conference organised as part of the sister LIFE project CEESEN-BENDER. This project collects data on people affected by energy poverty in housing cooperatives across five countries: Poland, Slovenia, Estonia, Romania, and Bulgaria. The conference in Szczytno by the Mazovian Energy Agency included presentations on heat pump and PV implementations in model housing communities and shared experiences from the RES Grant by BGK. Finally, on May 21–22, 2025, Jan Frankowski participated in an event ‘Support to local & regional authorities in the Clean Energy Transition’ organised by CINEA in Brussels, which brought together participants from various LIFE projects. The meeting addressed key challenges in stakeholder engagement and best practices for developing SECAP documents. It also offered a valuable opportunity to engage directly with LIFE project advisors and to present the LOCATEE project in poster format.
