On the 15th of July 2026, the 2nd Local Stakeholder Meeting on energy poverty mitigation and energy efficiency in multi-apartment buildings, within the context of the work being carried out under the LIFE LOCATEE project, took place at the Torres Vedras Municipal Environmental Centre.
The meeting started with an introduction by the municipality and expert presentations from NOVA FCT on the current state of energy poverty in the European Union and Portugal, and recent developments of the LOCATEE project, namely the energy poverty vulnerability mapping, the preliminary version of the Energy Poverty Monitoring System, and the cost-effectiveness assessment of energy renovation measures. The presentations were followed by interactive discussions. While exploring and discussing LOCATEE’s project findings, the participants explored:


The meeting was an important opportunity for direct exchange with policymakers, enabling a valuable feedback process on the technical tools being developed, which will serve policymakers at the end of the projects. It also sheds light on current challenges and potential solutions that need to be addressed to guarantee a fair energy transition in the municipality.
