Report launch: The use of the Just Transition Fund in Polish coal regions

On 18 June in Warsaw, Joanna Mazurkiewicz and Jan Frankowski presented the findings of a report on the use of the Just Transition Fund in Polish coal regions.

The Polish Green Network organised the meeting.

The event brought together representatives of local and regional governments, experts, and people involved in just transition processes. The discussion focused primarily on experiences with JTF implementation and on the challenges facing regions after the end of the current EU financial perspective. Participants discussed how to maintain support for the transition, strengthen the resilience of local economies, and better prepare regions for the next stages of coal phaseout.
