Call for Papers – International Conference “Workers, Firms, and Skills in the Digital and Green Transition”

The Conference will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria October 2-3, 2025

The EU Horizon project “Skills for Labour Markets in the Digital and Green Transition” (SkiLMeeT) invites submissions of papers or extended abstracts on topics related to:

  • The effects of the digital and/or green transition on workers, firms, and skills
  • Measurement and analysis of skill demand and supply
  • Skill gaps and skill shortages arising from the digital and/or green transition
  • Labour-market policies to address skill gaps and shortages
  • Education and training measures to mitigate skill gaps and shortages

The conference will feature a keynote lecture and contributed sessions.

The keynote lecture will be given by:  Matias Cortes (York University, Toronto).

Submission Details:
  • Please submit a full paper or an extended abstract via the ConfTool System: https://www.skilmeet.eu/conftool/ by midnight CET, 1 May 2025.
  • Authors of accepted papers will be notified by 1 June 2025.
  • All presenters must register by 1 July 2025.
