NEVI-EVY Workshop: Barriers to Opportunities: Building an Inclusive Labour Market for Young People with Disabilities

This workshop is designed for representatives of public employment services, civil society organizations, NGOs, researchers, practitioners, and other interested individuals and entities working in the field of youth employment for people with disabilities.

The workshop, titled “Barriers to Opportunities: Building an Inclusive Labour Market for Young People with Disabilities” will focus on analyzing how innovative approaches to supporting employment can contribute to improving the integration of young people with disabilities into the labor market, particularly those in the NEET group.

The main theme of the event will be the “Job Crafting” approach developed as part of the NEVI-EVY project. Participants will learn about the “Job Crafting” toolkit and methodology, including the role of the person facilitating the crafting process. We will discuss the various stages of support and strategies for reaching the target audience. The method emphasizes an approach that helps young people with disabilities identify and develop employment opportunities tailored to their skills, needs, and aspirations.

The workshops will combine research findings, practical tools, and experiences from the program’s pilot implementation. They also provide an opportunity to discuss the main barriers young people with disabilities face when entering the labor market and to identify opportunities for transferring and replicating the NEVI-EVY approach in various European contexts. We will discuss the opportunities and challenges associated with the wider dissemination of the “Job Crafting” concept .

The final part of the workshop will be devoted to an interactive discussion with participants. This will allow organizations and experts from various countries to exchange views, identify challenges related to implementation, and explore how this methodology can be adapted to their own institutional and national contexts.
