ECONOMIST (POST-DOC)

The Institute for Structural Research (IBS) is seeking a candidate for the Economist (Post-Doc) position.

This role will include research using discrete and conjoint choice experiments and quantitative methods (simulation and/or econometric modelling, data analysis). The Economist (Post-Doc) will be a member of the team working on projects related to energy transition and energy and climate policy.

Essential requirements:

  • PhD candidate (in the final stages of a PhD) or holder of a PhD in economics
  • Solid knowledge of microeconomics
  • Experience in running discrete and conjoint choice experiments
  • Experience in microeconomic modelling
  • Proficiency with statistical and computational software such as STATA, MATLAB, R
  • Fluent English

Additional assets:

  • Knowledge of energy economics and/or climate policy
  • Research experience in labour markets, living standards, housing sector, inequalities
  • Experience in conducting survey-based research
  • Experience in implementing research grants (e.g., NCN, Horizon grants)
