In countries whose economies are based on coal this major step raises questions about the future. How will it affect coal production and consumption and what could be the social and economic consequences of such changes?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the project the Institute for Structural Research (IBS) together with partner organizations from Australia, China, France, Germany, Great Britain, India and South Africa will develop transition pathways and policy packages for coal sector transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">***<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">The project will be carried between 2016-2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">It is coordinated by IDDRI (Fr) and Climate Strategies (GB).
