{"id":21581,"date":"2022-11-29T23:39:00","date_gmt":"2022-11-29T22:39:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ibs.org.pl\/?post_type=research&#038;p=21581"},"modified":"2026-02-04T12:24:35","modified_gmt":"2026-02-04T11:24:35","slug":"welar-welfare-systems-and-labour-market-policies-for-economic-and-social-resilience-in-europe","status":"publish","type":"research","link":"https:\/\/ibs.org.pl\/en\/research\/welar-welfare-systems-and-labour-market-policies-for-economic-and-social-resilience-in-europe\/","title":{"rendered":"WeLaR &#8211; Welfare systems and labour market policies for economic and social resilience in Europe"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>WeLaR &#8211; Welfare systems and labour market policies for economic and social resilience in Europe \u2013 is a three \u2013 year research project funded by the Horizon Europe Framework Programme that aims to examine the impact of digitalisation, globalisation, climate change and demographic shifts on labour markets and welfare states in Europe. WeLaR will not only improve the understanding of the individual and combined effects of these trends, but it will also offer policy proposals helping to adapt welfare systems to these pressing challenges. The project&#8217;s ultimate goal is to assist in creating policies that ensure economic growth is distributed fairly across society and generates opportunities for all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To achieve those goals, the WeLaR team will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>develop a new framework to study the effects of the four megatrends on the labour market and the&nbsp;welfare state.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>integrate analysis of their impacts on labour supply, demand and market matching while accounting for&nbsp;the interactions among the four megatrends and the mediating role of institutions and policies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>WeLaR will use a mix of quantitative and qualitative methods and stakeholder engagement. The consortium was awarded almost \u20ac3 million under grant agreement 101061388.
