5th Clean Air Congress organized by the Team of Economic Advisors TOR sp. z o.o., Mazowiecka Agencja Energetyczna and the Marshal’s Office of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship attempted to answer the question “How to fight energy poverty?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is necessary to intensify educational and information activities and to introduce subsidies – for example, such as an energy voucher – for low-emission heat sources. Otherwise, it will not be possible to convince the most vulnerable groups of residents to act in this area. Local authorities do not want to use the penalty system as a tool to motivate changes, although the current rate of replacement of obsolete heating sources does not give hope for the liquidation of classless stoves within the time limit set by the anti-smog resolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another important scientific meeting, this time international, is International Roundtable on Achieving Positive Social and Economic Outcomes in the Energy Transition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Experts from Australia, Germany and Poland attended the meeting and discussed solutions used in the transformation of the energy sector. The discussion focused on the social, political and economic aspects of the energy transition and revolved around solutions that can support the process. Taking into account social, economic and political challenges in the transformation process, and not only its technical and financial aspects, sounded very strongly during the debate. The need to strengthen cooperation between Australia, Germany and Poland, as well as between scientists and practitioners of these countries, was emphasized.
