Congratulations!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is a UN body founded in 1988 in Geneva to assess the science related to climate change. The organisation was set up by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). In 2007, the organization together with Al Gore was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. IPCC reports are treated as a basis for designing national and international climate policies. Since 1995 the IPCC has produced five Assessment Reports. The Fourth Report has been prepared by more than 600 authors from over 40 countries. The last one was published in 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Jan Witajewski-Baltvilks will be a lead author of the chapter about innovation, technology development and transfer.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Jan Witajewski-Baltvilks from our Institute has been nominated to be a lead author of the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report (AR6) as the only author from Poland.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipcc.ch\/report\/authors\/report.authors.php?q=37&amp;p\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The third part of the report<\/a>&nbsp;will include 17 chapters discussing different aspects of climate change mitigation, for example: energy systems, building, transport and industry, agriculture. Prac\u0119 doktorsk\u0105 obroni\u0142&nbsp;na European University Institute. Jest r\u00f3wnie\u017c absolwentem London School of Economics (BSc Economics) oraz University of Cambridge (MPhil Economics). W latach 2013-2015 pracowa\u0142 przy projektach naukowych w Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei w Mediolanie. Obecnie ekonomista w Instytucie Bada\u0144 Strukturalnych oraz adiunkt na Wydziale Nauk Ekonomicznych Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego. Autor prowadz\u0105cy Sz\u00f3stego Raportu IPCC. Cz\u0142onek doradczego komitetu redakcyjnego w czasopi\u015bmie Climate Policy.
