In addition to the regular sessions in all fields of labour economics and development, special sessions on Development Processes, Jobs and Labour Market Outcomes will be featured. In particular, we are interested in papers on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Economic growth and changing labour market outcomes<\/li><li>The relationship between technological progress &amp; technology adoption, and job creation &amp; wage inequality<\/li><li>Productivity growth, structural change, and the role of manufacturing &amp; services in development process<\/li><li>Educational expansion, utilisation of skills and wage premia<\/li><li>Demographic change, youth employment, prolonging working lives<\/li><li>Job quality, informality and labour market segmentation<\/li><li>Occupational and geographical mobility of labour<\/li><li>Energy transitions, job creation and demand for skills<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The conference will take place in Bogota (Colombia) on May 11-12, 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Important dates:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>January 15, 2018 &#8211; Deadline for submission of papers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>February 15, 2018 &#8211;&nbsp;Announcement of accepted papers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>March 30, 2018 &#8211; Deadline of final papers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>May 11-12, 2018 &#8211; 1st IZA\/World Bank\/NJD Conference on Jobs and Development<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Submission<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Please submit full papers or extended abstracts by&nbsp;<strong>January 15, 2018<\/strong>&nbsp;using our&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/legacy.iza.org\/conference_files\/formApplication?conf_id=3127\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">online application form<\/a>. Notifications on contributed papers will be sent by February 15, 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Travel and Accomodation<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Authors of accepted papers are expected to participate in the whole two day conference. The organisers will reimburse accommodation for up to 3 nights according to IZA&#8217;s reimbursement guidelines and provide meals during the conference.
