Migration, population ageing and family economics were important topics of the 29th<\/sup> EALE conference<\/a> which was held on 14-16 September in St. Gallen, Switzerland. Keynote talks focused on long-term effects of social safety nets on employment, skills and health (Hilary Hoynes, University of California Berkeley) and multidimenstional impacts of unemployment insurance (Josef Zweim\u00fcller, University of Z\u00fcrich). There was also a special session on the labour market of older workers, with invited presentations by Jos\u00e9 Ignacio Garc\u00eda-P\u00e9rez (Universidad Pablo de Olavide, Sevilla), Jochen Kluve (Humboldt-Universit\u00e4t zu Berlin and Leibniz Institute for Economic Research, Berlin), Josef Zweim\u00fcller (University of Z\u00fcrich) and Marike Knoef (Leiden University and Tilburg University).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Institute for Structural Research was represented by Piotr Lewandowski who presented the paper \u201cRoutine and ageing? The Intergenerational Divide In The Deroutinisation Of Jobs In Europe\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
