The multi-day conference offers an opportunity to discuss specialised topics and exchange experiences with researchers and practitioners working on similar but narrow issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the <em>Energy Inequalities and Home Retrofit<\/em> session, organised by the University of Edinburgh,Jan Frankowski presented a paper idea (<em>Behind the dashboard: Data, prioritisation and justice in targeting place-based retrofit)<\/em>, drawing on results from the CARE, ENBLOC and LOCATEE projects, and discussing approaches to geographically targeting building retrofits across various European cities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\"><div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"663\" src=\"https:\/\/ibs.org.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/rgs_ibg_conference_3-1024x663.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-58130\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.544490184353241;width:432px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ibs.org.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/rgs_ibg_conference_3-1024x663.png 1024w, https:\/\/ibs.org.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/rgs_ibg_conference_3-300x194.png 300w, https:\/\/ibs.org.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/rgs_ibg_conference_3-768x497.png 768w, https:\/\/ibs.org.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/rgs_ibg_conference_3-1536x994.png 1536w, https:\/\/ibs.org.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/rgs_ibg_conference_3-2048x1325.png 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The two-part session brought together more than 30 researchers and practitioners working on energy retrofit at the neighbourhood level. Discussions covered both successful and less successful investments in heat pumps and district heating networks, the added value of retrofit initiatives, and the challenges of scaling them up.
