Under the auspices of the Scientific Foundation Institute for Structural Research (IBS), the project succeeded in bringing together practitioners in the field of employment for people with disabilities, particularly those in the NEET group. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to IBS, the consortium includes the <a href=\"https:\/\/aktywizacja.org.pl\/\">Aktywizacja Foundation,<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.centerkontura.si\/\">Centerkontura<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/rnyobservatory.eu\/web\/welcome-european-rural-youth-observatory-euryo\/\">EURYO<\/a>. The Aktywizacja Foundation took on the challenge of developing the Job Crafting model &#8211;\u00a0 an innovative tool for working with the unemployed &#8211; by adapting it to the specific needs of young people with disabilities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"IBS, FA, CK Jobcrafting Method\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/JDsPTqh7JLI?list=PLQ91d2GRXY2Sj8ETesHlbIEugAzV6kgW9\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>\u201c<em>Supporting people with disabilities in entering or re-entering the labor market is always a challenge, regardless of their age. In this context, the \u201cJob Crafting\u201d model, developed with young people with disabilities in mind, has allowed us to tailor our approach to each participant\u2019s individual situation and view success from different perspectives.\u201d<\/em> <br><strong>Agnieszka Ja\u015bkiewicz-K\u0142osowska, long-time Project Coordinator at the Aktywizacja Foundation<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Slovenian Centerontura provides vocational rehabilitation services as one of 13 such organizations in the country. Individuals who use these services are referred to them by the Employment Service of the Republic of Slovenia. These services have evolved and been refined over time, creating a comprehensive system of care and employment for people with disabilities. <em>\u201cAs proffesionals, we are constantly looking for ways to improve the quality of our work, which is why we were happy to get involved in the Job Crafting model\u201d<\/em> recalls Eva Rogina, Project Coordinator at Centerkontura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The European Observatory on Rural Youth (EURYO) is a research-oriented association bringing together researchers, representatives of the third sector, public service providers, and those working with youth, including rural youth. EURYO, together with IBS, conducted a thorough study of the situation of people with disabilities in the European labor market. The study analyzed the activities of institutions that facilitate and mediate employment and identified needs, challenges, and areas for further development to improve the situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this way, researchers, analysts, and practitioners came together in one place -including both those developing and those implementing the expanded Job Crafting model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Taking into account the challenges faced by young people just starting out in life, particularly those with disabilities, we sought tools to help them overcome them. We examined these issues from the perspectives of both job seekers and employers, who often struggled to find employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How can we bring them together? How can we help both sides find each other and understand one another? How can we ensure that challenges no longer act as obstacles?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Navi-Evy in action part 2\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/lkf7tG8wm0I?list=PLQ91d2GRXY2Sj8ETesHlbIEugAzV6kgW9\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We refined and relearned the method. We found people willing to participate in the pilot implementation of the model in Poland and Slovenia, including both potential employees and employers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"NEVI-EVY in action part 3\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eB-gGUsmjFc?list=PLQ91d2GRXY2Sj8ETesHlbIEugAzV6kgW9\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And that\u2019s how 30 young people found jobs!!! These are people between the ages of 19 and 29 who live with mild, moderate, or even severe disabilities. They secured part-time jobs, but most of them are full-time. Nearly all of them managed to keep their jobs after the probationary period. And they work in a wide variety of positions &#8211; as salespeople, accountants, IT specialists, office staff, support staff, and librarians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p><em>\u201cIt became clear that working according to the Job Crafting model brought added value to both professionals and service users. We appreciated the model\u2019s clarity and structure. The appendices proved particularly useful. We will use them in our vocational rehabilitation services aimed at young people with special needs who are entering the labor market.\u201d<\/em> \u00a0<br><strong>Eva Rogina, Project Coordinator at Centerkontura, Slovenia.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a great success for the beneficiaries themselves, employers, and the entire project team. \u201c<em>Working with young people has shown us that success can mean something completely different to different people. For one person, it may mean finding and keeping a job; for another, it may mean gaining the self-confidence needed to talk about their strengths, participating in a job interview, or having greater independence in making decisions about their professional future.\u201d<\/em> adds Agnieszka Ja\u015bkiewicz-K\u0142osowska, a long-time Project Coordinator at the Aktywizacja Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">We\u2019ve managed to create a new standard. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">A model that works in practice and delivers excellent results!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the biggest challenges, therefore, wasn\u2019t simply helping someone find a job, but discovering together what the next meaningful and achievable step might be for that specific person. This experience reminded us how important an individualized approach is. Sometimes, a change that may seem minor from the perspective of the labour market represents overcoming a serious personal barrier. It can become the first step toward a much greater change in a person\u2019s professional life. But when implemented on a widespread basis, initiatives of this kind have the potential to bring about change not only for the group to which people with disabilities belong, but also for the entire labour market.
