The programme will cover, among other topics, lessons from the United Kingdom and France, tobacco tax reforms in Central and Eastern Europe, consumer responses to price changes, and the growing role of emerging tobacco and nicotine products. New research evidence will be discussed alongside the practical experience of those directly involved in designing and implementing public policies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The discussions will involve representatives of the OECD, WHO, European Commission, national ministries of finance and health, and the research community. A dedicated policy panel will also examine Poland\u2019s recent experience and the prospects for further reforms. By bringing together expertise from across Europe, the conference aims to facilitate an exchange of evidence and policy experience and to advance the debate on how tobacco taxation can reduce the consumption of harmful products while responding to a rapidly changing nicotine market.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":57560,"template":"","news_type":[308],"class_list":["post-57569","news","type-news","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","news_type-conference"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.4 -
