This was discussed by \u00c1gota Scharle, Senior Researcher at Budapest Institute, at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.budapestinstitute.eu\/uploads\/I_Innovacios_Tarsadalmi_Forum_meghivo_211021.pdf\">1st Innovation Society Forum<\/a> organized by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.recik.hu\/\">Regional Civil Centre (ReCIK) Foundation<\/a> on October 21, 2021, in Miskolc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main objective of the event was to bring together businesses, NGOs, and public institutions in the region to explore alternative solutions and opportunities that can help alleviate labour shortages. The forum also provided an opportunity for representatives of employment centers, local NGOs working in the field, and potential employers to exchange experiences and identify points where their activities could be connected or complemented by one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among others, the speakers at the event included Dr Szabolcs Menyh\u00e1rt, Head of the Employment Department of the Government Office of B.-A.-Z. County, \u00c1gnes Pet\u0151, Head of the Employment Pact Programme of the City of Miskolc, and D\u00f3ra Szendr\u00e1k, Head of the Regional Civic Centre Foundation, the main organizer of the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In her <a href=\"http:\/\/www.budapestinstitute.eu\/uploads\/Innovation_Society_Forum_SA_20211021.pptx\">presentation<\/a>, \u00c1gota Scharle talked about innovative national and international methods to help young people enter the labour market. Based on the results of our research in the framework of the <a href=\"http:\/\/budapestinstitute.eu\/index.php\/projects\/datasheet\/ibs_youth_guarantee_impact_evaluation\/en\">Youth Employment PartnerSHIP<\/a> international project, she reported that the 90-day job trial programme had been shown to increase the chances of finding a job, but in many cases had failed to reach those most in need. She also stressed the need for public employment services to work more closely with local NGOs and communities, who usually have a better understanding of the needs of unemployed youth in their vicinity. Such local knowledge can come from social workers, mentors in student dorms, sports club coaches, Roma municipalities, etc. NGOs can also help in providing personalized mentoring for young people and in sensitizing employers to employ more disadvantaged young workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":56441,"template":"","news_type":[299],"class_list":["post-56438","news","type-news","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","news_type-projects"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.7 -
