The main objective of the P-WILL initiative is to establish a pan-European, interdisciplinary, and multistakeholder network, comprising policymakers, industry leaders, civil society organisations, and research findings and researchers. By bringing together these diverse perspectives, P-WILL aims to foster the emergence of alternative scenarios within the realm of platform work, primarily at an international level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This conference served as a catalyst for thought-provoking discussions on the challenges surrounding platform work across various European countries. Researchers and representatives from civil organisations graced the event, sharing their insights on the subject. The conference\u2019s primary focus revolved around inclusive employment and the persistent inequalities prevalent within platforms. The presentations delivered were not only informative but also managed to stimulate fruitful discussions among the attendees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zuzanna Kowalik had the privilege of presenting her research done with Piotr Lewandowski from IBS and Pawe\u0142 Kaczmarczyk from the Centre of Migration Studies on job quality among migrant platform workers in Poland<\/a>. Platform work has gained significant popularity among migrants due to its low entry barriers. Zuzanna’s compelling study shed light on the heightened vulnerability experienced by migrants in this context and their increased susceptibility to multidimensional job quality issues.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Given the scarcity of research on Central and Eastern Europe, her findings were met with great interest and enthusiasm. The conference catalysed new cooperative opportunities between IBS and other research institutions in the field.\u00a0 It exemplified the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing the complex challenges posed by platform work, paving the way for a more inclusive and equitable future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
