The themes of <a href=\"https:\/\/c4eforum.net\/\">the Forum focus on the challenges of the energy transition<\/a>, climate change, energy efficiency and social justice in the region\u2019s countries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jakub Sokolowski gave a presentation entitled <a href=\"https:\/\/ibs.org.pl\/en\/publications\/how-to-prevent-yellow-vests-evaluating-preferences-for-a-carbon-tax-with-a-discrete-choice-experiment\/\">&#8216;How to Prevent Another Yellow Vests Movement? Assessing Public Preference for a Carbon Tax with a Discrete Choice Experiment&#8217;<\/a>. Based on a discrete choice experiment, the study shows a public preference for introducing a carbon tax and the possibility of preventing social protests in Poland similar to the French Yellow Vests Movement. Jakub Sokolowski presented the analysis results, which provided important insights into the design of the Social Climate Fund in the context of the &#8216;Fit-for-55&#8217; climate policy package. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participation in the C4E Forum allowed for a discussion on energy policy, climate change and a just transition and an exchange of experiences with experts from Central and Eastern European countries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":33895,"template":"","news_type":[308],"class_list":["post-33913","news","type-news","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","news_type-conference"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.5 -
