The theme of the congress was \u2018Globalization, Growth and Sustainability\u2019. Around 400 papers across the spectrum of economics were presented in multiple invited and contributed sessions. Key-note lectures included:&nbsp;<strong>Joseph Stiglitz<\/strong>&nbsp;(Columbia University) talked on inequality,&nbsp;<strong>Dani Rodrik<\/strong>&nbsp;(Harvard University) talked on economics rules, the role of models and data in economics, and&nbsp;<strong>Eliana La Ferrara<\/strong>&nbsp;(Bocconi University) talked on media and behavioural change. Among the invited sessions, the session on minimum wages and compliance in developing countries, with&nbsp;<strong>Ravi Kanbur<\/strong>&nbsp;(Cornell University),&nbsp;<strong>Haroon Bhorat<\/strong>&nbsp;(University of Cape Town),&nbsp;<strong>Tim Gindling<\/strong>&nbsp;(University of Maryland),&nbsp;<strong>Vidhya Soundararajan<\/strong>&nbsp;(Indian Institute of Management Bangalore) and&nbsp;<strong>Uma Rani<\/strong>&nbsp;(ILO), stood out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the Congress Piotr Lewandowski presented two IBS papers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Lewandowski P., Keister R., Hardy W., G\u00f3rka S., 2017.
