The conference was organized by the Department of Economics I of Warsaw School of Economics. The keynote speakers\u00a0 were prof. Hartmut Lehmann (University of Bologna) and prof. Jonathan Wadsworth (London School of Economics). Professor Lehmann presented the results of his research on the relationship between work in informal sector and risk preferences. Prof. Wadsworth presented a modified approach to analyse the flows in the labour market for economies with changing population size. \u00a0 Five presentations at the conference were presented by our economists on research recently conducted in the Institute for Structural Research.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ibs.org.pl\/en\/team\/iga-magda\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dr. Iga Magda<\/a>\u00a0presented the results on changes in inequality of opportunity in CEE countries.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ibs.org.pl\/en\/team\/piotr-lewandowski\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Piotr Lewandowski\u00a0<\/a>discussed the intensity of minimum wage violation in Poland and neighbouring countries.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ibs.org.pl\/en\/team\/jan-baran\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jan Baran<\/a>\u00a0presented the results suggesting rising incidence of overeducation among Polish workers.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ibs.org.pl\/en\/team\/roma-keister\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Roma Keister<\/a>\u00a0discussed the evolution of task structure of jobs in CEE countries. Ewa Cukrowska-Torzewska presented an article, co-written with Iga Magda, analysing the impact of women at managerial positions on gender wage differentials at company level. \u00a0 We thank the Department of Economics I for organising such a valuable event.
