The main objective of the study is to assess the impact of size and structure of the total expenditure under the National Development Plan for the period 2004-2009 on change of the structure of Polish economy in the context of the strategic pro-development objecives of the country. The analysis focuses on the impact of aid for innovative industries and the regional allocation of funds. Indirectly, influence on the achievement and maintenance over an extended period of high GDP growth and increase of employment and education was assessed.
