Analysis of the impact of investments in social infrastructure on Silesia voivodeship's economic growth

The main aim of the project is to gain knowledge on investments in social infrastructure elements effectiveness in the context of economic growth of the Silesia voivodeship stimulation and living condition quality of its society improvement.

A spatial diversity evaluation of the communities and districts of the Silesia voivodeship provision with particular elements of social infrastructure (education {kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, universities}, sporting and recreation, cultural, health care, social care and housing infrastructure) will be also accomplished. In time changes of investments in social infrastructure dynamics at the communities and districts level will also go through a comparative analysis.

An evaluation (at the communities and districts level) of socio-economic interventions in the area of social infrastructure effects will be carried out, especially in the areas of education, health, culture, sport and recreation. The study will enable to evaluate to what extend interventions in the area of social infrastructure influence the level of the region economic development and wider implied level of socio-economic development. A synthetic indicator of the socio-economic development level will be constructed, allowing for others than income itself indicators of living conditions of the community/district inhabitants.

Communities and districts of the Silesia voivodeship with the greatest expected reimbursement from the investments in the social infrastructure will be identified.
