The main goal of the the project was to evaluate the Varmia and Masuria voivodeship development perspectives in the period of 2008-2020 on the basis of macro and microeconomic processes in the region analysis. At the macro level the key component of the study was the general equilibrium model construction allowing specific features of the voivodeship economy. The model, equipped with application enabling its easy utilization, serves the evaluation of the economy reaction to exogenous shocks. At the micro level evaluation of possibilities and obstacles for local economy competetiveness rise was based on current condition and structure of small and medium sized enterprises as well as their adaptability to changing economic conditions. On the basis of the received results recommendations were formulated for the economic policy of the voivodeship as well as three scenarios of its development allowing possible shape of the economic situation in Poland and in the world.
